German auto parts supplier ZF recently announced that the company has acquired the latter’s plant in Nuremberg from automotive parts supplier Honsel. It is understood that ZF has taken over about 750 formal workers from the Nuremberg factory and about 150 temporary workers to ensure that the factory can supply its customers with components such as transmissions. Honsel has factories in Meschede (Headquarters), Soest and Nuremberg, Germany. It develops and manufactures light metal (aluminum, magnesium) components for use in automotive engines, transmissions, suspensions, and bodywork.
