System design
(1) Indoor coverage
The indoor-distributed APs and the indoor-mounted APs in the indoor coverage are in autonomous networking mode, and the centralized control APs are in a centralized networking mode.
1. Indoor distributed AP equipment
For indoor distribution systems with large construction area, wide user distribution and multiple systems, such as large office buildings, commercial and residential buildings, hotels, hotels, airports, stations, etc., indoor distributed AP equipment should be used. This type of device accesses the indoor distribution system as a signal source for the WLAN system to achieve coverage of indoor WLAN signals.
2. Indoor mounted AP equipment
For the simple structure of the building, the relatively small area, the relatively concentrated users, and the areas with large capacity requirements, such as small conference rooms, bars, leisure centers, etc., indoor-mounted AP equipment should be selected. Flexible distribution of different environments.
3. Centralized control AP device (wireless switch)
For a large number of access points, large number of users, and a large number of users, such as schools, large-scale convention and exhibition centers, etc., centralized control AP equipment networking (wireless switch networking) should be used.
(ii) Outdoor coverage
Design principle
(1) The outdoor open area should be implemented in a cellular grid layout to maximize the frequency reuse efficiency, distribute the signals evenly, and control the overlapping area of ​​each AP coverage area.
(2) The AP (or antenna) should be placed at a high place to reduce the influence of environmental changes such as pedestrian movement on signal propagation and improve the receiving performance of the AP.
(3) Select the appropriate antenna type according to the business needs and landscape of the coverage area.
(4) The antenna installation position should be away from high-power electronic equipment, such as: microwave ovens, monitors, motors, etc.
(5) When selecting the antenna placement position, care should be taken to avoid obstacles that may affect the propagation of radio frequency signals, such as metal frames and metal screens.
(6) The characteristics of each area that is required to be covered must be clearly understood when determining the position of the antenna.
(7) Understand the characteristics of possible users in this area and the architectural features of the coverage area to determine the location of the AP (or antenna).
