There are two types of manganese-containing minerals: one is an oxide; the other is a carbonate. The floatability of important manganese minerals is as follows:

Manganese ore MnC03, containing 47.8% Mn, is a relatively easy to float mineral in manganese ore. Collectors are commonly used in fatty acids, of which oleic acid works best.
