The subject of hot car networking, under the scramble of many related companies, has always been free on the outside of the concept of car networking.

Since the car networking was listed by the country as a key project during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the upsurge of car networking has been repeatedly heated up, and companies have embraced it. Shi Qixin, a professor at the Institute of Transportation Studies at Tsinghua University, told reporters from the "First Financial Daily" that companies are swarming in development and it is actually unhealthy.

Experts suggest that priority should be given to the development of applications and the adoption of consumer-acceptable application services to shake the development of the entire industry.

Conceptual offset

In 2009, Shi Qixin first proposed the concept of car networking. In his understanding, the Internet of Vehicles has three layers. The first is the perception layer, which is the sensing system such as RFID. It is also the simplest level. The second level is interconnection and communication. After the perception, vehicles and vehicles, vehicles and roads must be interconnected. The third level is through smart computing such as cloud computing, scheduling vehicles, and managing vehicles.

He believes that what most people are talking about is the first level.

However, the creation of a car network needs to solve a series of technical problems on the one hand. For example, some sensors are not yet ideal. On the other hand, there are many departments and industries involved, who is responsible for, how to operate, and a series of management problems need to be resolved. .

More importantly, policies, standards, markets, profit models, etc. that are related to the healthy development of the industry are all actually blank. In particular, the lack of standards makes the concept of car networking not really acceptable to consumers, and it is difficult to distinguish between the Internet, car networking, and vehicle-mounted communication platforms.

Behind the Internet of Vehicles is a long list of industrial chains consisting of automakers, automotive terminal companies, telecom operators, IT companies, hardware suppliers, traffic information content operators and service providers. These related companies are advancing the development of the Internet of Vehicles industry according to their own understanding.

According to Yang Jing, chief scientist of the China Mobile Communications Research Institute, at the “2011 China Automotive Electronics International Forum and Automotive Semiconductor Applications Summit”, the networking of vehicles was developed in accordance with four different routes, namely, OEM-oriented and commercial. Logistics fleet-led, public service-led and consumer electronics-led. Different modes have produced different application systems, and information cannot be shared with each other. Obviously, the requirements for car networking have not been met.

Application first

From the year of 2009, the concept of car networking was formally proposed by the Internet of Things, and it became a major special project of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. The development of car networking is accelerating. However, the car network has always been developed at the first level mentioned by Shi Qixin.

According to Shi Qixin, many companies are still at the first level of the Internet of Vehicles and do not have the second level, not to mention the third level. Without the cooperation and support of the government, it is difficult for companies to intervene in the following two aspects.

Currently, Shi Qixin has joined eight academicians to suggest that the country attaches importance to the research direction of the Internet of Vehicles and regards it as a national strategic industry. At the end of last year, 10 central SOEs, together with 10 universities and institutes, jointly initiated and established the “National Automotive Mobile Internet of Things Joint Design Center” in Beijing.

In the absence of standards and policies, the development of the Vehicular Network is actually at the stage where all relevant companies are doing their own development, and the focus is still on the first level.

Senior industrial researcher Pan Shaozhuo told this reporter that the interconnection of the car network is difficult to achieve, the current automotive application is still relatively weak, should first strengthen the application.

The development of car networking should first allow consumers to accept it. In order to attract consumers, it is necessary to strengthen the application. In addition to navigation and security, the current applications are more ideal.

For consumers, entertainment applications should be more demanding than navigation, security, and other services. Internet-based radio and other automotive applications will inspire more consumers to choose the car network.

In the development of the Internet of Things in foreign countries, automotive companies such as General Motors and Audi have started to propose applications such as extending the application-side service to vehicle-mounted Internet broadcasting and solving vehicle safety problems. This new trend of foreign development may provide inspiration to China's Internet of things.

Engine Mount Replacement

Engine mount is the part of your car or truck that holds the engine in place. Because your transmission and engine are bolted together, you need mounts to keep them from moving around.

Usually, there's one mount holding the transmission and two or three holding the engine.

Engine mounts are made with a rubber material so that there is no direct metal-to-metal contact between the engine and the car body.
To further dampen the vibration, some engine mounts are filled with liquid. A liquid-filled engine mount works like a Shock Absorber.

The most common problem with the engine mount is when the rubber part breaks or separates or when liquid starts leaking out of the liquid-filled mount.

Common symptoms of a failed engine mount is the increase in engine noise and vibration felt inside the car.
