The key components are BOSCH components of electronic control systems and imported clutches. As early as December 2008, FAW Jiefang began to promote autonomous AMT models. ZF ASTronic automatic transmissions are the most used in China. Dongfeng flagships, joint trucks, and Sichuan Hyundai Xcient all have their AMT models.

Eaton transmission is very popular in the North American market, and is used less in China. It was only available on the 55th anniversary edition of the J6 model released by FAW Jiefang. At the Shanghai auto show, Eaton introduced a 12-speed AMT gearbox with a domestic-made Czech drive, which uses an electronically controlled modular clutch actuator. The gear shift logic is more advanced and fuel economy is better.
