The survey found that, unlike the expansion of leading enterprises, this policy adjustment has made small and medium-sized battery companies directly face survival challenges. "To build 8 billion watt-hours of power battery capacity, only plant and equipment need to invest at least 2 billion yuan." A person in charge of a power battery company told reporters that the capacity of its power battery has just crossed 200 million watt-hours this year. Threshold, once the production capacity of 8 billion watts is introduced, a large number of small and medium-sized battery companies will be eliminated.

Power battery profit is facing decline

"The production capacity standard in the "Opinion Draft" should be fully passed with the battery companies, and it is formulated after understanding the capacity planning of the leading enterprises." The reporter learned that every 1 billion watt-hour power battery can meet the needs of 40,000 new energy vehicles. However, in some industry insiders, the technical requirements of the Opinion Draft are still general, and only the production capacity can be considered by quantitative standards.

It is understood that the current "Automobile Power Battery Industry Standard Conditions" was launched in March 2015 and has been implemented for more than 20 months. In this case, the production threshold is increased by 40 times from the lower 200 million watt hours, and the rapid changes in the power battery industry are obvious.
