Pay attention to the lights

When the rainfall is frequent, the lack of bright lights is aggravated. The rain reduces the penetrability of the lights, and the highly reflective light on the surface of the water poses a serious visual obstacle to drivers driving at night. At this time we must consider increasing the brightness of light.

The simplest way to increase the brightness is naturally to increase the power of the headlights. Although this method is low in cost and simple in construction, the effect is limited and there are certain hidden troubles. Changing the 50W headlamps to 100W does not simply double the brightness. On the contrary, due to the increase of power, the damage caused by the line will increase accordingly, causing the line to heat up and speeding up the aging of the wire. The voltage across the headlamps will drop. Most of the result of this is that the brightness will only increase a little, but it will lead to increased line load, buried hidden dangers, and both the lampshade and the lamp bowl may be deformed and discolored due to high temperature.

Of course, timely maintenance of exterior lighting is crucial to drivers because it not only affects the comfort of driving, but also directly relates to the safety of driving. It is often difficult for owners to realize that headlights, taillights, turn signals, or parking lights are no longer working properly before being alerted.

In more cases, the failure of the vehicle light is not limited to such minor problems as bulb burnout, socket corrosion, or plug damage. It often requires specialized diagnostic techniques to analyze the root cause of the fault.

If the headlamps are damaged, they are usually replaced with similar ones. Some cars are equipped with high-intensity-discharge headlamp HIDs, which generate high-density light sources through high-voltage arc discharges generated by their pre-designed electronic systems. Note that ordinary quartz halogen bulbs cannot be used here. In addition, check the front headlight lens for cracks, because although the surface cracks will not affect the lighting performance of the headlamps, moisture will penetrate the lamps along the cracks, which will inevitably reduce the life of the lamp.

While grasping the key, we must not forget to inspect other light systems, such as turn signals, license plate lights, width lights, parking lights, reversing lights, and brake lights.
