Ninety percent of domestic supply of spare parts for domestic vehicles doubled

In the 90s of the last century, Shenlong's first Beverly-Car was on the Han Dynasty, and only 40% of the tens of thousands of components purchased from China. Dongfeng Honda, another automaker in the Wuhan Development Zone, has more than 270 suppliers in China, accounting for the vast majority of suppliers. When it first went public in 2005, the first domestic parts supply for the first vehicle was also Only about 40%.

In 20 years, the total amount of localization of joint-venture vehicles has doubled, and core components have been closely matched. At the end of March this year, the latest engine project of Shenlong Motor Co., Ltd. started in Xiangyang, producing three new series of six new engines for use in the upcoming new models. Among them, the EP series engine is a new-generation engine jointly developed by PSA Peugeot Citroën Group and BMW Automotive Group. It adopts advanced technologies such as turbocharging and direct injection in the cylinder to reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle by 30%.

In the initial production, the technology of the joint-venture vehicle factory was completely imported from abroad. Drawings were digested and converted into production in China. Changes from one screw to another were required to go abroad. The confirmation cycle was short in January and long in half. Through these years of development, the Chinese joint venture depot has increased its technological capabilities and gradually gained the right to speak and contribute to the improvement of the localization rate.

In April 2007, Shenlong’s steel plate material field was fully authorized by PSA Peugeot Citroen Group. This is Shenlong's first professional field fully authorized by PSA, which means that the choice of steel plate material can be determined by Shenlong in Han Dynasty. So far, Shenlong's Wuhan plant has been authorized by the French party in 14 fields such as paint, which has played an important supporting role in the improvement of the localization rate and laid the foundation for the production of independent brands.
