The lush vegetation of airports, parks and pastures in Canada is now in trouble. The proliferation of wild geese affects the ecological environment of these places and is a major concern for aviation.
At Abbesford, LEDs have helped a lot in solving the goose disaster. Local authorities have installed flashing LED lights in the Mill Lake Park, which will drive away the geese resting in the park at night. In the past, it took a lot of effort and cost to clean up a lot of goose eggs and feces from geese.
In 1999, the geese disaster also caused a serious aviation incident in the United States. As an Airbus A320 flew into the geese, the two engines of the aircraft were all paralyzed and the plane crashed directly into the Hudson River in New York. Fortunately, all 155 passengers on the plane were rescued.
