Japan's fastener imports have grown in 2010

According to a foreign report, according to statistics of fastener import trade issued by Japan's Ministry of Finance in 2010, total imports of fasteners in 2010 were 203,788 tons, an increase of 27% year-on-year, and total imports were 62.04 billion yen. The year-on-year increase was 16.2%.

Judging from the unit price of imports, the average unit price of all fastener imports in Japan in 2010 was 304,000 yen/ton, a year-on-year increase of 28%. The biggest increase in average unit price of imports was rivets, with an average import unit price of 650,000/ton, an increase of 244,000 yen/ton from 2009.

From the perspective of the types of fasteners, the import of all fasteners has increased. The largest import volume was other steel material bolts. The total export volume was 79,703 tons, an increase of 24.4% year-on-year, followed by screws and other steel nuts. The total import volume was 27,664 tons and 25,024 tons, respectively. Increased by 33.6% and 22.2%. The biggest increase in imports was self-tapping screws, with imports and imports up 68.5% and 65.3% year-on-year. Followed by lamp hooks and spring washers, imports increased by 58.6% and 57.6% year-on-year.
