Recently, Cummins introduced a 55 kW MDDCM marine generator that has been certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 3.
Brian Barnes, director of marketing at Onan Marine, said, "The EPA Tier 3 product line has a power value of 55 kW, which will give our customers a higher power and more environmentally friendly power option than previous products."
MDDCM generators will join the company's Tier 3 certified marine product line, including 6.7 to 50 liter engines and 17-55 kW generators. Cummins Tier 3 certified 19-litre and below engines and Onan marine generators also meet future US emissions requirements. The MDDCM generator will be available from the end of March 2016.
