Chibi Station successfully developed automatic exhaust

From December 13 to December 14, Pipeline Storage & Transportation Co., Ltd. Chibi Station took advantage of the favorable timing of pipe sweeping from Dazhi to Chibi in the long pipe. A drop of oil landing solves the problem of falling oil when sending and receiving balls.

The exhaust operation of the receiving and sending cylinders is one of the important aspects of pipeline pigging operations. The manual exhausting of the Qingbi station for receiving and delivering pigging ball operations requires 3 to 4 people to take turns to guard and cause the problem of falling oil, and starts technical research. The team focused on the principle of the floating ball valve and designed and manufactured an automatic exhaust device for the ball receiver. During the exhaust operation, the stainless steel ball in the device opens the exhaust passage under its own weight, and the gas can be discharged. At the end of the exhaust, the stainless steel ball closes the exhaust passage under the buoyancy of the crude oil to prevent the crude oil from being discharged. After the ball collection process is completed, the stainless steel ball opens the exhaust passage under its own weight for air intake. The crude oil in the exhaust device enters the receiving/receiving ball barrel and is transferred back to the normal oil delivery flow by the oil pump.

Before the actual test, the station's research team used water as the medium and conducted multiple simulation tests on the automatic exhaust device. After confirmation, the actual application test was carried out from the 13th to the 14th and achieved success.
