Recently, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to recall some parts from March 23, 2017 to 2017 from July 25, 2017. Some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the clutch actuator and cable, the transmission control module software and the gearbox wiring quality problem, the system may be misjudged when the vehicle shifts, causing the vehicle fault light to illuminate and the vehicle power is affected. In the extreme case, the gearbox will enter the neutral position, and power interruption will occur, posing a safety hazard. Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the TCU harness for the vehicles within the recall range, update the TCU data, check the clutch actuator and cable status, and replace the clutch actuators and cables that do not meet the requirements to eliminate safety hazards.
The recall was carried out under the circumstances of the AQSIQ initiated defect investigation.
