BMW's high-level and Wenzhou companies join hands to create auto parts

It is reported that Pingyang Deke Magnesium Technology Co., Ltd. is the first company in the world to have large-volume, automated production lines, and has now obtained the internationally leading Mobility license rights for MnE21 hot-medium magnesium alloy patented technology in China. As the headquarters of the MnE21 patented technology in China, the company plans to build more than 500 mu of medium- and long-term plants with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan. The plan is divided into three phases: the first phase will be completed with an annual output of 20,000 tons of production lines and related supporting facilities, with an investment of 590 million yuan; the second phase will have an investment of 800 million yuan; and the third phase will have an investment of 1.5 billion yuan.

Investing 3 billion in new materials for producing magnesium alloys After graduating from University of Ulrich Bruhnke joined the German Mercedes-Benz company, has been working for more than 20 years, once served as president of the Mercedes-Benz company; left Mercedes-Benz and defected to BMW, as the company's CEO of high-skill automotive M company. Due to the high-tech magnesium alloy production, Ulrich Bruhnke left BMW and founded TechMag-TCMAG in Switzerland. He is mainly engaged in the research and development of new magnesium alloy materials for automotive interiors.

Wen Shang Hu Jianjie was born in the Netherlands, then moved to Germany for business, opened Chinese restaurants in the BMW company's city for many years, and engaged in project investment. Before this, Hu Jianjie and Ulrich Bruhnke met. During the same period, they were joined by German students and Chen Defan of Wenzhou Pingyang. Ulrich Bruhnke and Hu Jianjie matched each other. They established Pingyang Deco Magnesium Technology Co., Ltd. with a ratio of 45% and 55%. In Hu Jianjie's hometown of Wenzhou, Pingyang County, Ulrich Bruhnke served as chairman.

New magnesium alloy material is 70% lighter than steel

UlrichBruhnke said that the new magnesium alloy material is a new type of environmentally friendly material, especially for the modern automotive industry. "At present, the most widely used in the automotive industry is sheet metal parts, which have not yet been matched with magnesium alloy castings and die castings. The new magnesium alloy materials are 70% lighter than steel and 30% lighter than aluminum alloys, but they are not strong and durable. However, compared with steel and aluminum alloys, it is even worse.”

BMW and other automakers have already expressed their intention to order. He continued: “Last week, I went to BMW. When I saw a lot of interior plastic products for BMW, I told the relevant person in charge that the use of magnesium alloys could be better than plastic. Weighing 50%, this statement immediately attracted their great interest and immediately placed an order."

According to Hong Wei, the head of Magsteoff Group, a supplier of magnesium alloy technology, magnesium is a structural metal material. Before the Second World War, it was called German Metal. German warplanes in the Second World War used a large amount of magnesium materials. At present, China has a high stock of magnesium, with an average annual stock of more than 2 million tons. However, there is only 200,000 tons of market demand, which has a huge application space. In particular, with the rise of China's electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, low-carbon magnesium alloy materials will be more welcomed by the market.
