The Beijing Municipal Transportation Administration revealed that the number of new indicators for the leasing of passenger cars this year totaled 4,520, an increase of more than 800 vehicles over the previous year. It is planned to be deployed in two phases. In order to encourage enterprises to use electric vehicles, 1,500 vehicles in the first half of the year are all pure electric vehicles.
Last year, the Beijing Municipal Transport Bureau mentioned that it is necessary to reserve a certain amount of indicators for the use of pure electric vehicles, but no specific amount has been proposed. This year, the Transportation Bureau will divide the configuration into two phases. In the first half of the year, 1,500 vehicles will be deployed, all of which are pure electric vehicles. In the second half of this year, the city will also deploy 3020 vehicles, and give priority to the new demand for pure electric leased passenger cars, taking into account the new demand for ordinary leased passenger cars.
The Transport Bureau stated that when the number of enterprise declaration targets exceeds the quota of pure electric leased passenger cars, the reference will be based on the “Beijing Lease Passenger Car Quantity Allocation Measures†scoring standard, and the indicators will be allocated according to the company’s score level. Last year, companies with high scores received 157 indicators, compared with 20 for general enterprises.
